Happy Wednesday! I have been so confused about what day it is all week, but it’s probably because I’m in a penguin state of mind, and they don’t give a damn what day it is
On Monday it was in the low 60s here in San Diego, which meant it was time to whip out the penguin onesie
And then last night the local running club SDR hosted their annual Halloween costume run:
I officially want to run in costume every single day.
About 100 people showed up and there were tons of awesome costumes!
Can you guess what he is?
Pepe and I bonded over how unreasonably hot these type of costumes get. #worthit
so we were able to cause a scene
And also attempt to become famous in front of the Channel 7 news station. I have been stalking all of their instagram accounts to see if they posted the pictures they took of us and haven’t found anything. Crushed dreams.
The run ended at a bar in Little Italy, so we had a post-run beer and I even got to meet some new Boston transplant friends! That is always ok in my book.
They’re dunkin’ donuts. Because they’re basketball players. In donut inner tubes. Get it? GET IT?!
It’s clever. And donut themed. So I love it.
But my friend Jana did have to explain it to me.
And incase you’re wondering, Jana’s not only a good friend because she explains what should be obvious costumes to me, but also because she agrees that the only way to end a fun run is with pizza combo platters and fro-yo
Now I’m already searching for a Christmas themed race I can sign up for. I’ll sew a little Santa hat onto my penguin costume and I’ll be a Christmas penguin! Although, let’s be honest, I don’t know how to sew, so it will probably involve some sort of duct tape contraption to keep it on.
Are you a fan of Halloween?
Have you ever ran in a costume? What did you dress up as?
Anyone in the San Diego area know of a Christmas themed race?!
