I have 2 very exciting things to share with you:
1. My Halloween costume arrived and I wore it for a solid 4 hours today
Have I ever shared my love of penguins with you guys? If not, it’s real and is only growing every minute I sit in that penguin suit.
2. I ran 4 miles today!!!
Well, 4.0701 to be exact.
This was my furthest distance since the AFC Half Marathon in August and it was amazing. I felt my knee a little bit around mile 3, but after stopping to readjust my brace, I was off and feeling great again.
I’m so happy right now.
I ran with a local running group and the main reason I initially chose this group run was because they end at a bar (please refer to my disclaimer from yesterday), but after some uhhhh… tummy issues, I had to run straight home instead. That last half mile, despite being uphill, was definitely my quickest. If you’ve ever made
friends enemies with runner’s trots, you know exactly why.
After I was showered and feeling much much better, I snacked on a few wheat thins with peanut butter for some quick protein and carbs
Then made some stir-fry for dinner
Not the best picture, but it tasted pretty damn good. Well, minus the chicken apple sausage, which I tried for the first time. Not exactly my favorite.
Oh and here’s some unsolicited advice: NEVER STOP FOAM ROLLING. I rolled for the first time in 2 months and wanted to cry the entire time. Lesson learned, my friends, lesson learned.
