1.86 mile run
1 mile walk
Stretching & strengthening exercises
So as you can see, I ran today I woke up and my knee felt like a rockstar, so I headed out for a 2 mile run. I walked .5 downhill miles, and then started running once I got to the flat bike path. I felt STELLAR during the first mile and the views didn’t hurt either
The second mile wasn’t horrible, but definitely wasn’t as stellar. The knee pain came back a bit, so I decided to stop running at 1.86 and walk the .5 miles home. I was a bit frustrated, but then reminded myself that I would have killed for a painless mile last week, so I can’t complain. Perspective, people.
Now I’m at a coffee shop working hard….ish.
I got an iced tea and acai bar, which is essentially sugary goodness mixed with some acai berry so they can play it off as “healthy.” I ended up throwing half of it out so I would devour the whole thing.
Speaking of food, yesterday my dad mentioned to me, “I don’t even know what you’re eating anymore since you haven’t blogged in a week.” I’m honored he cares, and I’m sure you guys are all dying to know as well. (still need that sarcasm font to be invented)
If you’ve read this blog at all, you already know I tend to obsess over certain foods and eat them over and over until I burn out, so without further ado here are my latest foodie obsessions:
1. Toasted waffle with peanut butter and a banana
Not the healthiest breakfast, but also not the worst? I don’t really know, but what I do know is that I end up staying full until or beyond lunchtime, which is good in my book.
2. The Pollo Sandwich from Pappalecco, an Italian cafe near me
Grilled chicken, artichokes with green sauce. I had it 3 times in 7 days, so it’s clearly time for an intervention.
3. Spaghetti squash. Duh. I won’t bother you with another picture of it, but it makes the list.
just kidding….I can’t resist
4. Turkey sandwiches. I’m sure this comes to NO surprise to anyone who knows me…..let’s be honest, when I turned 21 I was dressed up as a turkey sandwich because I’m so addicted
Sororities are fun.
Anyway, I had been taking a bit of a hiatus from them, but this week I discovered two of the best ever.
This one is from Which Which in Pacific Beach, which I have been dying to try. I need to see if there is a Which Which closer to me so I can go everyday.
Yeah, I got chips and white bread. What of it?
So, there you have it. Food. My most favorite thing ever.
