Today’s Workout: 50 minutes of strength training
Hope everyone had a wonderful humpday! Only 2 more days until the weekend, although I have to be honest, my Wednesday wasn’t too shabby at all. I started off the day with some vanilla Chex with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and finishing the Parenthood season 2 finale.
Holy tears. I’m pretty sure I cried more while watching the episode than when I said goodbye to my own family. I’m addicted.
After crying over fictional characters, I headed down to the gym for the first time since the AFC Half. My knee is still feeling off, so I didn’t do any cardio, but I got a full 50 minutes of arms, abs and PT exercises in. I would have loved to go for a run because that’s when I truly feel accomplished, but I’m not going to push through this pain and I’m hoping the rest will bring some improvement tomorrow. I have a PT appointment on Monday, which will hopefully go well.
After the gym I made a naan cheeseless pizza with some fruit on the side
Once I was full and happy, I drove over to Mission Beach for my first beach day as a California resident (I’m technically still a Mass resident right now, but you get the idea)! It was a fun area with restaurants, little shops and even some amusement rides…..I thought about going on the roller coaster alone, but then I thought that may be hitting a new low.
I lasted for 2 hours, which is good for me considering I’m not a HUGE beach girl, but compared to the humid beaches of Florida and the trashfilled beaches of Mass, I was into it! I started reading Mindy Kaling’s book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (I know, I’m 2 years late to the party) and I just have to share this paragraph with you all
I died while reading that/reliving my own college 35
For dinner I’m planning on having some leftovers from last night’s spaghetti squash, peppers, zucchini and chicken. It was my first time having spaghetti squash and I’m already a huge fan (once again 2 years late to the party). I’m not crazy about pasta, so I don’t need it as a substitute, but it’s nice adding something to my stir-fry
And just so I’m
bragging about telling you everything, this is what I’m looking at as I’m blogging right now. Don’t worry, I know it’s too late for coffee, that mug is full of wine.
Now I’m off to go make dinner and get ready because later tonight I’m heading to a dive bar for a concert. Alone. This is why I’m here, right? Time to step out of that comfort zone! Please pray for me that there won’t be a moshpit. I was stuck in one of those one time and it’s not as fun as it looks in the movies.
